Our system is controlled by an extensible reference ontology, published by a central ontology manager. This determines what data is permitted to enter the system.

Data enters our system via:

A unique coding engine

As data enters the system, it is passed through a coding engine that transforms the data into a novel coded format designed to support flexible manipulation and analysis.

The coded data can also be used to support data restrictions that control access to the system, enabling the viewing of data that's associated with a person's role.

Thinking about data differently

Atmofacts is our radical new technology that has been designed to facilitate data exploration and analysis.

All data items are converted into Atmofacts. These are coded statements that have a three-part structure comprising, ‘Question’, ‘Answer type’ and ‘Answer’.

A unified method of representing data

Atmofacts are unique numeric codes which have a range of attributes capturing numeric values, natural language terms, position in a hierarchy, metadata and other nomenclatures.

This approach removes the need for queries to refer to the physical structure of the database, makes formulation simpler and modification more flexible.

It also facilitates easy access to the data for display or manipulation.
